It was broadcast on state-run Korean Central Television in the capital of Pyongyang and clips from the program were later rebroadcast on BBC 1. The television program claimed that hair length can affect human intelligence, in part because of the deprivation to the rest of the body of nutrients required for hair to grow.

Strawberry generation (hanzi: 草莓族 or 草莓世代) is a Chinese language neologism for Taiwanese people born between 1981 and 1991 who ”bruise easily” like strawberries — meaning they can’t withstand social pressure or work hard like their parents’ generation; the term refers to people who are insubordinate, spoiled, selfish, arrogant, and sluggish in work.


Hatebeak is a death metal band, formed by Blake Harrison, Mark Sloan and Waldo, a 19 year old Congo African Grey Parrot. The band members do not use their last names on their releases ”for the mystery.” Hatebeak is unique in that they are the only band to feature a parrot on vocals

The Venus effect is a phenomenon in the psychology of perception, named after various paintings of Venus gazing into a mirror. Viewers of such paintings assume that Venus is admiring her own reflection in the mirror. However, since the viewer sees her face in the mirror, Venus is actually looking at the reflection of the viewer.

Mysterium (Scriabin)

Mysterium is an unfinished musical work by composer Alexander Scriabin. He started working on the composition in 1903, but it was incomplete at the time of his death in 1915. Scriabin intended that the performance of this work, to be given in the foothills of the Himalayas in India, would last seven days and would be followed by the end of the world, with the human race replaced by “nobler beings”.
